Thank You, ABDebs Customers!!!
A great big THANKS to all our customers who attended the presentation of My Grandma`s Backyard by young authors, Miles and William Rabun in the Meeting Place at ABDebs on Saturday, May 3, 2008.   Everyone who attended, and we had a full house, talked about the good time they had and how impressed they were with these two very special young men.  For those of you who missed this very special event,  Miles and William (ages 9 and 7, respectively), told the story of what they learned and the good times they had while visiting their Grandmother and later reporting their experiences in a book.  Through music and dancing and the very special way of children, Miles and William shared with their guests how they came about their idea of writing a book, how they were able to have their book published, and what they have learned along the way.  If you missed them at ABDebs on May 3, you will have another opportunity to meet Miles and William on May 31, 2008.  See the announcement below about the upcoming ABDebs Book Fair.

ABDebs - St Matthew Book Fair
Event Date & Time:  Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 10 AM to 2 PM
Presenter:  ABDebs Books & Gifts and St. Matthew AME Church
Event Particulars:  Everyone is encouraged and to come to very special event that will include a range of book related activities.  Storyteller and Television Personality Willa Brigham will tell stories.  Miles and William Rabun will present their book In My Grandma`s Backyard.  There will be book presentations and signings by authors of both children and adult books, e.g., Jacqueline Thomas, Bestselling Author of Simply Divine, Sheila Baker, author of Runt: The Omega Wolf, and others. Photographer Gerald Tharrington will take special pictures, while Pat and Tony, owners of Rita`s will share their special Italian treats.  ABDebs will present door prizes, along with a free book auction for children and adults, balloons for the children, hot dogs and other goodies for all the attendees.  Mark this event on your calendar!! You will want to be there and so will the children.                                                                   

Book Club and Author Reception
Event Date & Time:  Thursday, June 12, 2008 - 6:00 PM
Event Presenter:  ABDebs Books & Gifts
Event Particulars:  Book clubs and authors are cordially invited to a reception and buffet dinner and take advantage of a relaxed opportunity to meet and plan future get togethers. There is no charge to attend.  Interested authors are encouraged to bring copies of their books for consideration by book club members.  Book clubs and interested authors may register for the event at www.abdebs.com or by calling 919-217-6976. 

Knightdale Chamber of Commerce Expo
Event Date & Time:  Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Event Presenter:  Knightdale Chamber of Commerce
Event Particulars:  Everyone is cordially invited to visit ABDebs Books & Gifts at table 57 during the 2008 Knightdale Chamber of Commerce Expo.  The Expo will be held at Knightdale High School School, 100 Bryan Chalk Lane, Knightdale, NC. 

Local Author Introduction

Book Signing Author, Sheila La`More, will be reading from and signing her book, Runt: The Omega Wolf, on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 2:00 PM at ABDebs Books & Gifts. Public is Invited.  No Cost to Attend.  Reception will follow reading.
